Calvin sat bored in his stakeout spot, listening to his comrade's conversation. "Synergy here. Haven't found anything ye...... Hold on, I think I see something. The guy must be busy tonight." He said, following a man into an alleyway that was muttering to himself. "Hey..... Are you ok?" Calvin asked. The man turned around, giving him quite possibly one of the creepiest looks he had ever seen in his entire life, before hissing at him, grabbing a nearby trashcan lid and swinging it wildly at him. "Woah! Calm down!! I'm here to help, I promise!!" Calvin shouted, holding up his arms in defense as the lid bounced off in an attempt to get a good face shot in.

“I’m fine Shadow Stalker, but the witness appears to be missing”. “I can’t say for sure but I think we’re being watched, everyone keep your guardsup” Jin told his friends as he picked up one of the golden quarters that Jin gave the dealer. If he knew the info would cost the man his life he would have never questioned the man to begin with. That’s when it hit him. “Even though I didn’t get much the witness did reveal that one of the victims screamed the word “WONDERLAND” shortly before he was attacked; I hate to say it, but I think it’s pretty clear who we’re dealing with” Jin told his friends over his ear piece.
“Very clever my Cheshire Cat” said a voice in Jin’s mind as cold as ice itself. “I see you’ve grown a new paw too, isn’t that cute”. “I’m sure Alice will be happy you’re doing well, but right now I have to pay the mad hatter a visit”.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT YOU BASTARD” Jin shouted at the empty ally, forgetting that Hare was speaking to him in his mind. “If I told you that, it would ruin my tea party” Hare replied, as Jin felt his presence leaving his mind.
“Mad Hatter, tea party” Jin thought to himself confused. Then suddenly he realized. “HE’S MOVING IN ON ONE OF YOU GUYS” Jin shouted into his earpiece. “We need to gather now”.

"We need to know everything you might've observed in the recent kidnappings," Mark spoke urgently, "And if you know anything about the culprit," His earpiece had been turned off while he waited for Claremont to arrive. He got to his feet and examined the professor closely.

"Whoa, whoa, slow down der, Hypno," Claremont, or Venom, said with a light chuckle. The kid definitely showed he was a rookie. Claremont motioned with his palms downward to indicate a lowering of the kid's energy. He paused before speaking again.
"I've been working with a different beast altogether. Why don't you share your spoils with me, and we can go from der," he said with a smile, clearly trying to speak with less of his accent.

“HE’S HERE, MARCH HARE IS IN THE CITY and he knows we’re looking for him” Jin shouted into his earpiece as he ran out of the ally. “Everyone keep your guards up, we’re being watched” Jin told his comrades as he ran down the side of a street. Now finding Drake and the others was his top priority, none of them were a match for Hare alone.

"We're searching for a possible mutant kidnapper that's loose in the city. They think it's the same guy who tried to kill one of the students at New Haven, and kidnapped another student," Mark explained, crossing his arms. It was already nighttime and if they moved swiftly enough, they would should be able to catch this guy, whoever he was. A Professor would certainly help too.

Drake panicked at what Jin had said. He quickly turned to find the guy he had saved was now one of three psychos standing in front of him. "Great..just fuc-" he began to say as one hit him and knocked him back. "So who'd you say he was coming after Faust?" Drake asked into the earpiece not shocked at all it was him they were after.
"Hey there Mad Hatter...It's good to know that you're still alive after all this time..." the booming voice of The Hare echoed through his mind. "Where are you, you bastard..."
"Now if I told you that, it would take the fun out of our little game now wouldn't it?" The Hare laughed.
"THERE'S NO GAME...IT'S JUST YOU AND ME...SO COME GET ME!" Drake shouted in anger.
"Oh...I will...the tea party is nothing without The Hatter's presence...we shall sip our tea while we watch Wonderland spring up unto the unknowing crowd." The Hare laughed once more and his and the lackeys disappeared. "Great..." Drake said.

“He didn’t give a name, he only mentioned the name Mad Hatter,” Jin told Drake over his earpiece. Suddenly the sounds of Drake’s yelling made it clear just who Hare was after. “What’s your location Shadow Stalker, I’ll come back you up” Jin told his ally over the phone, hoping that Drake wouldn’t do anything rash, as if that was possible.

The cajun Professor paused for a moment, and seemed to think.
"I'm also on the trails of the snake in da grass, de one who nabbed the girl from the school. He's one tough cookie, eh?" Venom stated, as if it wasn't a big deal. He seemed very calm and collected, in his black duster.
"However, it looks he is gon' go after one of your friends. Mahbe we can actually track him," he suggested.

Mark nodded and turned his earpiece on. There was a lot of chatter, but it was rolling over on top of each speaker. He sighed and lowered the volume before turning to Claremont, "How are we supposed to track someone who can take over minds? He could be anywhere in the city when he strikes and we don't know what he looks like," He commented.

Claremont flashed a grin to the student.
"Well, Hypno, we know what ya boy looks like...and we can track 'im," he said slyly, the plan spawning in his head. The problem was an information problem. While they knew the Hare had some way to activate his powers over his victims, they weren't certain what it was. Furthermore, they had no idea how he seemed to be able to locate people. It was most likely he had some sort of psychic powers that allowed him to trace thoughts, but his lack of sanity would keep him from being clean and thorough.

"If you've got a way to find him, lead the way," Mark spoke, focusing his earpiece again, "Hypno reporting in. What's your status?" He doubted that the others had decided to wait, given their past history with Hare. For all he knew, they could have already been attacked. If they did manage to find Hare, or whoever was behind this, it would be simple to beat him at close range, hopefully.

As Jin ran down the side of the street in search of Drake he suddenly heard Mark’s voice over his ear piece. “Where have you been, we’re in a bit of an emergency here” Jin told Mark over the phone. “I’ve confirmed this is indeed Hare’s handy work and he’s already claimed another victim and from the looks of things is currently in the process of confronting Shadow Stalker as well” Jin told Mark as he ran across the street nearly getting hit by a car. “What’s your status?”.

"I've met with Venom and we're en route to track Hare," Mark responded, hurrying down the street. He stared back at Claremont and wondered if he really did know about Hare and how to track him; either way, they needed to regroup and go for there, "Meet at Shadow Stalker's location and regroup from there, over and out," He clicked off his earpiece and started down the street.

Drake saw a piece of paper where the group of people were. He grabbed and opened it. It was a map to a "Tea Party". Drake clicked on his earpiece, his voice came faintly onto the earpiece. "This is Shadow Stalker...no trace of The Hare has been spotted..." he said shoving the paper into his pocket.

Jin was somewhat surprised as he heard Drake’s voice over his earpiece. “Are you sure, from the sounds of things I thought you were being attacked” Jin told his teammate as he stopped ruining to finally gain some air.

"If we don't have Hare, we should go back to our posts and continue to be on the lookout, or meet up and plan something new. It's all on your, team leader," Mark replied as he stopped running, waiting for Calvin to make a decision. As much as he hated following orders, Mark wasn't sure of how to proceed or how to even locate Hare again.

Calvin had finally managed to beat back crazy man number 3 as he turned his attention back to the conversation screaming in his ear through his ear piece. "Hare wants his Mad Hatter right? I get the strangest feeling that it's one of us. I hate to say it, but I think we're going to have to wait for him to come to us. He's already confronted Jin so he knows we're coming, which means what advantage the element of surprise gave us is now gone. We're going to have to stick with it.
"Stay where you are, keep your channel open. If we lose someone we all need to converge on them and wake them up got it? We can't risk them getting a limb lobbed off in his dream world." Calvin still wasn't sure how exactly they were going to fight the Hare, he was still making all of this up on the fly. "We need to find out who this guy really is. Then I can trap him in his own nightmare. Any bright ideas?"

"I say we give him de bait," chimed in the accent of the Cajun Professor, although it was somewhat sly. Perhaps it always was, "and follow his trail, see where the coon nests."
Claremont's situation was a bit odd. On the one hand, he was by far the most combat capable and experienced person involved, but it wasn't his mission. It was this boy's. Claremont has his own mission. But somehow, the fates had brought him to this, and he wasn't entirely sure how to react. Claremont had done a lot of things in his life, but this was new.

Mark's voice trailed off, crossing his arms, "Well, if we could somehow trick him into one of our minds--or even Calvin's--we could take control of him and try to trap him...assuming our powers might work in his dream world," He sighed, "Well I don't know shit about Hare and if that'd work, so better plans are cool with me,"

"Alright..." Drake said in response to Calvin as he turned off his earpiece. He opened the map and leaped down into the street. "Alright, it's now or never..." he said as he began to walk down the street following the map. 'Looks like it's underground...' he thought to himself. His stomach was in knots, he didn't know what would become of him if he left his friends out of the loop and went by himself. "Better me than them..." he said reassuring himself about his decision.

“Shadow Stalker come in, come in” Jin stated over his earpiece but heard no response. “Everyone I think Drake has gone rogue” Jin told the rest of his team. What was it with Hare and his obsession with Alice and Wonderland, Jin thought to himself as he finally stopped running. To Hare Jin was the Cheshire Cat, clever and quick, Drake was the Mad Hatter, crazy and spontaneous, Fayth was Alice, and he was obviously the Hare in the story. That’s when it hit him. In the story Alice followed the Hare down a rabbit hole.
Without even caring to look who was around, Jin clapped his hands together and transmuted a small portion of the street into a manhole. As Jin opened the lid and jumped down into the cold sewer water he saw a long shadow in the horizon, too dark for Jin to fully make out.
“Clever as always Cheshire Cat, I welcome you and the Mad Hatter to follow me into wonder land” Hare’s voiced echoed through the sewer and quickly began to fade into the darkness. Without thinking Jin followed the shadow into the darkness.
“He’s underground, Hare is operating from the sewer” Jin told the rest of his team over his earpiece as he followed Hare into what was obviously a trap.

"Well I'm not certainly going down there," Mark responded as he flipped off a manhole on the street. A putrid smell filled his nostrils and nearly made him gag, "Gosh, couldn't Hare be in Canada where everything's clean?" He muttered, retreating a few steps, "Well, if we know his general location, we should try to find some way to trap him down there. Going in after him would just be playing this game on his terms," He decided.

“I’m following Hare on foot, track the signal and back me up, with any luck I should be able to follow him to his hideout” Jin told the others as he followed Hare’s shadow. Where it led Jin had no idea, but he did know that both Hare and Fayth would be there.
