This is for Utkin's teams first session of training.
Calvin has been declared leader of this motley crew that has notorious authority problems that rival The Seraphims. Will his team be able to follow his leadership, or fall apart?
P.S. Raines is sick and can't participate until further notice

OOC: Fuck, I don't even know what to write for Utkin and I have to run, so I feel like a jerk, but i figured getting started was more important than Utkin explaining CATT. Just look at one of the other threads if you want an intro.
Utkin explained CATT's functions to the team.
With that, the lights cut out and the room was pitch black, and even the viewing window which Vengeance occupied seemed to disappear. Then, it all returned, only instead of a shiny silver room, they were in an open field, some areas with tall grass that hit their knees, others with small patches, flowers dotting the countryside scene. Everything was picturesque, except one tiny oddity.
That oddity was four robotic gorillas. Perhaps tiny oddity was an understatement, because these things were massive and angry looking. They had the fluid motions of living beings, but the thick metal hides of monsters. They stood ready to strike at the team members.

OOC: Pay attention much? Damn, is Roger actually not physically there? Cause if so, I have to re-write this whole thing. >.>

Everything happened really fast and it took Mark a while to realize where they were, "A simulation room..." He commented when they were transported into a lush, grassy area. It looked nice, except for the huge robot-gorillas that were barelling toward them. Without even an order from their assigned leader, Calvin, he sprinted away while going over what to do.
His powers wouldn't work on robots and the only person who could put a dent in them was sick, "You gotta be kidding me," Mark ducked down into taller grass and tied his hair back with his green overshirt so that his silver hair wouldn't give him away. He knew that breaking off from team leader wasn't the most tactful move, but he hardly knew Calvin and wasn't about to put his life in his hands.
Mark crawled forward to eye the gorilla a few meters away. There was no way he could take that thing down conventionally. His best chance was figuring out what the robot's capabilities were and finding a way to trap it.

Jin was both shocked and somewhat annoyed. Giving a person with nearly no combat experience at all the role of leader was a huge mistake in his opinion. But before he could even ponder the reason why such a stupid decision was made both he and his team were transported to a room with four giant robots.
Jin turned to face a worried Mark and smiled. “What’s wrong Mr. Russian, are you worried” Jin told his teammate as he took off both of his white gloves. “Don’t worry, all I need is to touch one of these robots and I’ll be able to turn it into dust” Jin said as dodged one of the giant’s attacks.
“But for the moment lets give them something to worry about” Jin said as he clapped his hands together and touched the ground; suddenly the very earth below one of the robots turned into quicksand and began sinking the giant beast.
“Yo leader, we could beat these guys twice as fast if you absorbed my powers and helped out” Jin told Calvin who he still didn’t view as a worthy leader.

ooc: Mark isn't Russian, he just calls Utkin that
"Just kill them," Mark ordered with an eye roll. If the guy could destroy the gorillas with a single touch, there was no reason for them to even try anything else, "Just lure the gorillas toward Jin and Calvin," He told them, despite not being any sort of leader. He had no desire to be either, but he didn't mind ordering people if it meant preserving his own life.
All Mark knew was that he wasn't going to trust Calvin and Jin with his life so easily, so instead, he settled behind them and kneeled in the grass. He took care to set himself up where he could sprint away if the gorillas tore the mutants in two.

My bad, I just remembered your comment, lol ____________________________________________________
“You do realize I can only deal with one at a time, and even touching these guys certainly isn’t easy” Jin told Mark as he sank the first gorilla under the sand. “In other words help out you lazy fool” Jin said to Mark.
Suddenly the gorilla Jin sank began to break out of the sand, over powering the force that was sinking it. “You’re not getting away that easily” Jin told the monster as he suddenly clapped his hands again and touched the ground. The quick sand slowly began turning to ice, freezing the creature while it was only half way out of the pit.
“See, It’s Simp…..” Jin said before he was suddenly shot in the back by another gorilla’s laser. “Right in my blind spot” Jin said as he feel to the floor.

"Shit! They have lasers?!" Calvin shouted as he tried to help Jin up. Ripping up a fairly tall blade of grass, he mimicked Jin's power and changed into a small spear, tossing it to Mark. "Make yourself useful." He remarked as he tried to think. "Alright, Jin, I need you to go around and change the ground into a few traps. Mark, lure them into said traps. While they're trapped, me and Jin should have a fairly easy time getting close enough to turn them into scrap, got it?" He said, finally formulating a plan.
"Stay low Jin, under the grass. I don't think they have any heat sensors, they can't see us if we stay under. And Mark, don't take the bait thing personally, but I think you'll do a wonderful job." Calvin said, smiling a bit in hopes of lightening the incredibly tense mood and calm everyone down. I mean, they were being attacked by mechanical primates, how much more stressful can it get?

Jin was somewhat surprised to hear Calvin finally acting like a leader as he was helped to his feat. “Alright, sounds like a plan” Jin told him as he began to stand up. “We’ve already taken one out, so that only leaves three left” Jin said pointing to the gorilla half frozen, half trapped in quick sand.
“Just be careful; using my power can be kind of tricky, just try not to make anything too complicated” Jin told him as he clapped his hands together and turned a small piece of earth into a pit of lava. “If these guys can’t see heat, they certainly wont see this” Jin told his team as he clapped his hands again and turned the side of a mountain into steal spikes.

Mark grumbled about being bait, "I'll try not to die too soon," He sighed. He wasn't interested in putting his ass on the line, ever. Nevertheless, it was probably best to side with the reality-altering superbeings. Or, worst case scenario, both of them died and he got blamed.
"Over here," Mark called, picking up the spear. With his luck, all three started barelling toward him. He sprinted toward the spikes and rolled to the ground when he was right in front of them. One of the gorillas was skewered through its chest but was still moving, effectively pinning Mark down in a small crevice.

Jin ran over to the back of the mountain once he saw Mark pinned down with the gorilla blocking his path. Even though the beast was disabled, it was still moving. “Don’t worry, I have you covered” Jin said as he clapped his hands together and turned a small portion of the face of the mountain into a huge fist, which quickly punched the head of the gorilla right off. “These guys are a lot easier when they can’t move” Jin told his teammates as he turned to face the two remaining gorillas.
“Its now three against two, we might just stand a chance” Jin told his two comrades.

Mark got back up and brushed off his clothes of any dirt. He stumbled a bit and noticed that his leg was cut on one of the spikes. Blood trickled down his leg profusely, staining the grass, "Dammit," He commented.
"Can you guys mend wounds with that reality-altering stuff?" Mark asked the group as he took a knee and clutched his leg tightly. He tore off his shirt and bound the wound to stop the blood flow, but was much more pale than before. His hands were clammy and he was panting, clearly not used to the physical traumas of the battlefield. He had been in some brawls before, but was capable of relying on his powers to get him out of sticky situations. Robots pretty much put him out of commission in that department.

Jin stood there somewhat frozen at the very mention of using his powers on human flesh. “No, no we can’t” Jin said as he slowly fell to the floor. Images from Jin’s childhood slowly began to flow through his head. Jin remained on the ground not moving for a few seconds but the sound of the approaching gorillas helped him regain his posture.
“It’s not altering reality, it’s changing the structure of items and rebuilding them, my power doesn’t work on living beings” Jin told his partner. He dear not tell him the truth.

Calvin smiled a bit. His teammates were starting to get along a bit better it seemed. His joy was short-lived though as another of the primates began to charge him. It hit dead on, Calvin flipping over it and managing to grab onto the creature's neck, holding on for dear life as it continued to run around.
The wind was knocked out of him, but other then that he was ok. He flailed around at the gorilla continued to run around the field. This was perfect! He had it in his grasps all he had to do was think of something to turn it into and they'd only have one more to....... "Oh crap." It was running straight for Jin's lava pit, oblivious to it's location. If he changed it into anything now, the momentum would cause him to tumble straight in, but if he let go, there was no telling whether or not it'd run in or jump it, and he didn't want to waste an opportunity to destroy one.
He had an idea, probably a bad one, but it was idea all the same. Calvin grabbed onto one of the creature's arm joints, making sure it had a laser blaster on the arm before hand, and changed it into sand. He jumped off quickly as the creature lost balance, tumbling straight into the lava. Calvin picked up the arm, and after fiddling with it for a few seconds, fired the arm cannon in a random direction. "Yes!! Maybe getting that last one won't be so har....." Calvin started before breaking out into a fit of coughing. Why'd he go with sand? He was covered in it now, and it was starting to itch.

Mark was pleased to see that there was only one gorilla left. Unfortunately, his vision was getting wobbly and he couldn't even stand up anymore. He panted heavily, clutching his mangled leg, "Well I'm out of commission until I can get my leg fixed up," He commented. He didn't hold it against Jin and Calvin that they couldn't do anything to help him, but he just hoped that they didn't expect him to fight one of those gorillas again.
This place was ridiculous. After two days here, they were already drafted into a supermutant army and now their asses were on the line in exercise drills. Mark stared at both of his teammates, hoping that they would have a better shot at killing the remaining one.

“Nice work commander” Jin said, when suddenly the final gorilla kicked him from behind, knocking Jin to the floor. “These guys are really getting on my nerves” Jin stated as he slowly began to stand up.
“So you want a to a piece of me” Jin told the iron beast as it lifted up it’s huge fist ready to jam it into Jin’s body at any minute. “Alright, lets play” Jin stated to the creature as he clapped his hands together and pointed them at the creature. As the creature’s giant fist collided with Jin’s hands a transmutation began. The monster was helpless as it’s body began to fall apart. But the collision with the monstrous hand was too much for Jin to handle and he was forced backwards to the ground before the transmutation was complete. The monster screamed in pain as it’s entire shoulder fell off, and turned to sand.
“It’s hurt, now aim that gun and finish it off” Jin told Mark as he rubbed his chest in pain. These creatures were a lot harder than he first thought.

Calvin heaved the heavy gun arm up, taking aim at the finally gorilla. "Hasta la Vista, Mistah." The laser charged, then fired, blowing the mechanical monstrosity apart as they were all pelted with robotic debris. "Well, that wasn't too bad." Calvin said, throwing the arm down with a heavy thud. "Everyone ok?" He asked. It was a stupid question, they were all injured in some way, but nothing life threatening from the looks of it. "Nice job guys. I think we'll make a good team after all."

“Well at least that’s over with” Jin told his teammates as he slowly began to sand up with one hand coving the upper portion of his cest. Jin's chest was filled with an overwhelming amount of pain. That last gorilla must have broken at least two of his ribs. “Well that went better then expected” Jin knew all two well that his team and to fight these robots with a huge handicap. Two of their comrades were unable to participate.
“Nice job guys” Jin said as he gave his teammates a thumbs up before coughing up some blood. “Alright Utkin, the games over and we won, now let us out of here”

"Let us out of here, Russian," Mark grumbled, nursing his wounded leg. Even if this was all a simulation, it felt real. He had no idea if the wound on his leg would leave once they left this room, or if it was some kind of hologram. Either way, he was going to take a shower and a long nap after this ordeal.

Vladmir eyebrow twitched at the Russian comment as he flipped the intercom on.
"You did a decent job for a training wheel session, I'm amazed you actually worked together." The professor spoke dully as the robotic scrap-heaps around them faded, wounds magically healed as the training session shut down.
"You're free to head back up to campus."

“You say that almost as if you were expecting us to lose” Jin told professor Utkin as he walked passed him. He was amazed how quickly his wounds were healed. “Well all and all that was fun, how about we celebrate back at the dorms” Jin told his teammates in his usual lighthearted voice. “I could create some beer for everyone” Jin whispered to his comrades.

"I think I'm gonna call it a night. Maybe next time," Mark responded with a slight smile before departing. Part of him was still scared shitless. While the wound was gone, he was still physically exhausted and weak from the training mission. What if he had experienced more trauma in there? What would've happened if Utkin had pushed them too far? Would they die? Either way, this training made him skeptical and uneasy.
Mark returned to his dorm and laid down, wondering how their classmates had fared. Most of them were still in the CATT, it seemed. He was curious if they felt the same dread about the training, "What've I gotten myself into?" He asked with a yawn.

“Your los…….” Jin told Mark as he suddenly fell to the floor. Even though the simulation had ended Jin’s chest was in an extremely large amount of pain. “What’s going on” Jin thought to himself as he crawled over to a near by wall. That’s when it hit him. Jin was never forced to use his powers in battle like this before. Jin’s stamina was all but drained to zero and he was starting to feel the side effects. All of the adrenalin from the battle must have over powered his bodies limitations.
“Looks like I’m heading to bed as well” Jin told the rest of his team as he slowly began to drag himself to his room.
