OOC: This is where the Capture the Flag game will be taking place for Hyun-Lin and Utkin's teams. Remember that your character loses their mutant powers while in possession of the flag. Hyun-Lin's team will start in the Student Lounge on the second floor of the dorms (2). Utkin's team will start in the Weight Room in the Gym (4).  The Boxers: Robbie (C), Theo, Nadya, Angelique, Oto The Rurik: Calvin (C), Mark, Jin, Drake, Raines
As the students gathered in the CATT, the Professors activated the simulation. The familiar walls and pathways of the campus appeared before them, and the games were set to begin. "Oh, our last surprise was your simulation locale: the Academy. Have fun," Hyun-Lin's voice echoed over the speakers. |

Robbie made his way to the CATT Room, running plays in his head as he did so. He didn't want to over-think a game of capture-the-flag, but there was a part of Robbie, an almost... competitive side, that made him ensure they had a way of pulling out the win. The group crowded into the first CATT room, and just as he remembered it it gave both teams a massive space to work in.
"Um, ex-excuse me!" Robbie said, trying to speak over all the other's who where talking, "Can the Boxers come over here for a huddle?"
"How do you think they'll do?" Utkin asked Hyun-Lin, both of them in a monitoring room high above the action. The students have had gone through their basic training and even a few missions, however after losing two of their classmates he couldn't help but be curious at how they would work together.

"Great, at least we won't be lost.... Sort of." Calvin stated as the familiar hallways began to reform around them. When it finished, the location was one he wasn't entirely familiar with: The Weight Room. Taking a look around, their flag was in the center of the room. "Alright, I think it's safe to say Jin should guard the flag." He left it at that, it really didn't need any more explaining. "Mark should probably stay with him, no offense, but you're more useful on defense."
OOC: Do we know where the other team's flag is located? Or do we wander around aimlessly trying to find their "base"?  |

"Fine, this is like the easiest team anyway. One person can shrink into an action figure and another one can try to make us feel like angsty teenagers," Mark responded, sitting down on one of the bench presses that was near the flag, "If this is a simulation we can pretty much do what we want. Jin, can you whip up some defensive barriers? They may not stop mutants coming here, but they can stop them if they get depowered," He crossed his arms and thought about how else they could fortify the place.

OOC: I had been thinking of searching, but a little "movie magic" should keep them from searching everywhere...just use some logical ideas.
Theo hobbled his way over to Robbie, smiling at his team as best he could. He obviously wasn't at 100%.
"What's the plan, oh wise leader?" he said, still finding time to tease.

“Fine” Jin stated as he walked up to the flag. He clapped his hands and touched the ground and suddenly the marble floor turned into wet cement. Jin quickly threw the flag into the cement and hardened it with a second transmutation. Jin next picked up a 30 pound weight off the ground and transmuted it into an identical flag and placed it in the flag stand. “How do you like those apples” Jin told his team.

Robbie smiled, he of course pretty oblivious to any problems the blond empath was experiencing, Theo was always there to lighten the mood. The tiny leader took a deep breath before starting,
"Well I thought this line up is kind of like soccer, we have our four offensive players who will have to match power with the other teams four 'chargers'. It's probably a good guess to assume that Calvin and the more offensive members of The Rurik will be trying to get our flag which would usually be a draw back for us as a more defensive team, but because we'll be okay if we each one of us stays on one of the Rurik's." Robbie paused and let the information sink in while at the same time studying his teammates. He soon started back up.
"So, the match ups will go like this. Nadya will take Mark, who despite not being that strong physically can still control us, but that won't happen if he can't move. Calvin is the most powerful but he's had some trouble controlling his power absorbing before so that's why Theo will take him on, you don't have to make him feel one thing, sending him different emotions to confuse him. Angelique you'll take Drake, he's their you, but you transfer your mind to his before his shadow has a chance to reach you." He paused once more, this time his face showed signs of deep thought.
"I-I don't know who'll they'll have guarding the flag and who'll they'll have going out. It could be either Jin or Raines... but Oto," He said turning to his teammate and smiling "I'm sure that you're plants are more than enough to keep them occupied. I'm the least useful of you all, especially if the flag takes my power so I'll be your goalie. I'll do my best if you do yours." He said looking over his team, each one of them, he hoped, would do great.

"Okay." Raines said, simply. He didn't really understand the point of the game. Get a flag? why?
"Wow Robbie!" Nadya said, listening to his plan.

Oto could barely contain his excitement. An actual teamwork excercise with an actual team! This dream, it was too, TOO good to be true.
"Aye, cap'n," Oto said, saluting and doing the peace sign with one hand, all at once, "I'll make sure to keep the enemy occupied." Oto then reached into his bag of seeds, pulled out a seed and threw it in the air before morphing it so long vines sprouted out, an example of his power.

"I thought transmutations were supposed to tire you out," Mark observed but decided to ignore it. His teammates seemed to grow leagues stronger if it was necessary to win. He stared out the window. He grabbed a few weights and began spreading them all across the floor with a little bit of space in between. With all of their holes and different sizes and shapes it would be harder to move.
Mark looked at his teammates, "It's to keep that Robbie kid from trying to sneak in as easily. Just getting to the fake flag should be like Mount Everest for him," He spoke as he peered around the room. He knew Nadya had some kind of control over force, or something that made everything heavier. How they would prepare for that, he did not know.
Of course, there were two wild cards: the new kids Oto and Angelique. He had no idea what their powers were, meaning they would have to be extra careful. Their team was pretty static in its dynamic. Their only wild card, so to speak, was Calvin's ability to take any of their very useful powers. The difficulty would come when they had the flag and were rendered utterly powerless.
Mark wasn't ready to plan that far ahead.

"Just use the...um....el-...el-....," Theo thought, lost for a word, before a weak expression of eureka flew across his eyes, "Element of surprise! Shrink so they won't think anybody is defending, and then when they grab the flag, surprise them."
Theo gave their Captain a pat on the back.
"What do we do when get get the flag, though? Just run like hell?" he asked. The whole loss of powers thing was a real puzzle. But they were trained how to be useful even without powers, and the students were getting into pretty good shape. They'd really have to disable the other team to get a head start.

“From making basic stuff like that, you’ve got to be kidding me” Jin stated as he found a nearby bench and began to lie down. “It’s simple really, so long as the flag remains hidden under the cement there’s no way they’ll ever find it; now if you don’t mind I need a nap”. “Wake me if we’re under attack, we do have to make defending the fake flag look as real as possible” Jin told his teammate as he slowly began to close his eyes. After spending his night chained to Theo a chance to rest like this felt amazing.

"Um, well... I haven't really been able to think of a good..." He admitted, rubbing the back of his head, thoroughly embarrassed. It was true though, the team didn't have any offensive players, no body they could have moving and attacking, they'd have to play it sedentary...
"I got it!" Robbie exclaimed, his eyes giving off a little spark, "Oto you're the one who'll carry the flag, you're the fastest out of all of us. Don't run too fast though because Nadya will be running with you the whole time, making the flag lighter so you don't get tired. Theo and Angelique will run with you both for a while, staying in the back. When a good number of the Rurik show up, Theo will use his power to disorient them.
Robbie rummaged through a small sack on his side and pulled out five communicators, blue-tooth head-sets which he gave to the group. "Since I can't help you physically, I'll be giving you orders from here. Just talk into the headpiece and I'll try to help you out the best I can. You can talk to each other too, so don't hesitate to talk and work with one another. We're a team and nobody works better as a team then us." Robbie exhaled, his leg wobbly from the team looking at him. Utkin had given him lessons on the "all important pep speech" but he didn't realize how nerve racking talking to people would be!
"I'll be waiting for you all and the flag, Team Boxers dismissed." He smiled, he knew they would do well.

Oto could feel tears start to swell in his eyes, though quickly rubbed them away, hopefully before anyone saw. He, He was actually part of a plan? The hopes of their victory were resting on him?
"I-I won't let you down, Cap'n," Oto said, filled with pride. Oto then reached into his pocket, grabbing a handful of his seeds. He needed to be ready for incase he ran into any opponents.

"I'm not running anywhere," Angelique relied defiantly. She crossed her arms and dropped to the ground with a pout on her face, "Calvin is their captain! He should just give me the flag so we can win! Or not give me the flag, I really don't care! This is stupid!"

"Alright.... I guess that works." Calvin commented. Not exactly what he was expecting, but it worked, and the fake flag was actually rather clever. "Alright, so Jin will stay here and watch our flag....s. Mark, you stay here and back him up. Me and Drake will go on the offensive. Raines.... I didn't even know you were still on our team. Uh, just stay here, oh wait, here." Calvin rummaged around a bit, finding their old communicators from their battle with..... THE HARE!!
"I'll let you guys know if anything changes," Calvin began as he passed them around, "If they manage to get the flag, let us know, we'll cut them off. We'll let you know when we get their flag and if we need some help."

Mark gave a small salute, "Aye aye," He leaned back against the wall and stared over at his other defensive cohorts. There was Jin, who had taken to sleep, and then Raines, someone who should have theoretically been good at defense, but there was no telling if anyone is even home in his head.
"Time to figure this out..." Mark walked back out to the gym. They would have to enter through there to have any chance of reaching the weight room. After barricading all but one entrance way with tables and other furniture he could find, he found the equipment room, "This could come in handy..." He grabbed an aluminum bat and made his way back to the weight room.

Oto was bewildered by Angelique's behaviour. It was unreasonable.
"Are you KIDDING ME?" Oto shouted at her in a surprised, almost worried sort of way, "This is so cool! A actual match of mutant pitted against mutant, to see who has the best team skills! We own it to Hyun-Lin and Cap'n Rob to do our absolute best! Why aren't you excited by this amazing event!"

Nadya, not really an emotional person, didn't have any sort of reaction to Robbie's pep talk. She did think that when he talked like that, he was pretty cute, though.
"Alright Robbie," She said, smiling up a storm. "But who's on defense?"
Raines walked over to the fake flag and sat down in front of it. He got what he was supposed to do. Protect the flag; it was kind of like protecting an essential base during warfare; your life didn't mean shit in comparison to it.
At least, that's how Raines figured.

"Don't worry about her man, she's a lost cause. Wouldn't even back down from DaMarcus - when he was an enemy," Theo said, shaking his head. He had heard about her actions by now, and it was enough to make him laugh. Talk about David and Goliath. But at this school, you couldn't judge any book by its cover. The powers inside the pages could change the whole story.
"We gotta figure out where they are," Theo said, trying to think of the campus. Where was the opposite side of where they were?
"They might be in the Professors dorm, but I bet they are in the Gym somewhere. Like the pool or something. That's more opposite-y," he said, unsure of how entirely to state his idea.
"Should we spread out or stay together? I think we should stick together," he said to Oto as he motioned for him to follow out of the dorm.

“Why do you seem so nervous Mark; we’ve already won as far as I’m concerned” Jin stated as he leaned back onto the bench. “Me and Calvin are the only ones who have the power to retrieve the flag where I put it and on top of that we have a dud; all we have to do is put on a good show when the other team arrives and with any luck Calvin and Drake will have their flag before they even realizes what hit them”. Jin stated as he leaned back to get some more rest. “Now if you don’t mind I need to relax and let my powers recharge”.

"I'm not really nervous, but they'll obviously think something is up if we do nothing but sit around without fortifying our position. They'll know that we've done something with the flag," Mark responded as he sat the bat to the side and closed his eyes, "Hypno reporting. Position secured," He spoke into his little communicator.
Even if he wasn't too worried about the likes of Theo and Robbie, he was a bit afraid--not necessarily afraid, but paranoid--about the other players in this: Nadya, Angie, and Oto. There was no telling what the extent of their powers would be and that made it tough to prepare a defense for them.
Mark sighed, "No one is stopping you from resting. Word on the street is Professor Snow had to break up a fight with you and Theo. I would think that would make you a bit more enthused to kick his ass...virtual ass, at least,"

A long smirk came over Jin's face as he kept his eyes closed. “That’s exactly what I plan to do, once he arrives here of cores” Jin told Mark in a very sly voice. His teammate was obviously trying to motivate him but so far everything was going according to plan. “I’ve already placed the flag in a place Theo, Robbie and Angelique could never hope to get to and once Theo gets here I plan to finish our fight, but for the moment I need my rest”. Jin had no idea what Oto or Nadya could do, but assuming they couldn’t read minds there was no way they would ever find the flag.

Angie rolled her eyes at Oto, it was quite obvious that he was new. She grumbled to herself and tossed her nose in the air, if only to affirm what Theo was saying. He was right! Don't even bother talking to her about having anything to do with this madness! If it wasn't going to further her plight for the drama club, or end with her in a nice new sparkly dress-ooh, a nice bergundy color with a lacy hem would be so nice in this weather!-she would in no way be contributing to the boxers and especially trying to make things easier on that Oriental Harlot who always was bouncing around with her twins out for the world to see. Disgusting.
