Hein listen intently and after hearing her words, he understood that he wasn't the only one who lived a life filled with pain. Earlier today he had cursed out nearly all the New Haven Academy in the wake of Yun's death, but Cheshire was right. Life was better here, albeit still hard. 'Did I make her think about her past.' he thought, as his face returned to normal-- back to calm Hein.
Getting out of the water slowly, he walked dripping wet over to Cheshire. Kneeling down right next to her-- back into the water -- he gently placed his hand on her shoulder, "You didn't need to tell me about your past, if it was hard then. It will become easier now.. for me and you." he assured, his his eyes become softer and his smile returned. "Still I'm happy that you can open up to me, I hope my reason to be here will find me someday.."

Cheshire smiled at Hein, glad her words seemed to have helped a little. She was still a little uneasy, not used to physical contact, but slowly she was relaxing. She wanted to tell him that she was happy that he could open up to her as well, but the words wouldn't come for some reason. After a moment, she just shook her head a little, amused with herself.
"It will," Cheshire said in response to his last comment. Her voice was strong, full of utter and complete faith, "You'll find your reason."
Glancing back at the shore, Cheshire was suddenly filled with gratitude for the Academy. She had been living out her days here in quiet loneliness, not realizing just how much of a gift it was to be here. So many students who had come here from loving families took for granted what a sanctuary it was. A place where mutants could try to live their lives as normally as possible. And for people like them, even the slightest bit or normality was like a gift from God.

"Let's get going before we catch a cold.." Hein laughed realizing they were both soaked and she was in her normal clothing, as he got up he extended his hand to help Cheshire up. He was finally talking with someone normally again, what a great day it was.

Greatfully taking Hein's hand, Cheshire tried to navigate out of the water without slipping. She did so successfully, coming to stand on the grass and wringing out the corners of her shirt.
"In hindsight, sumerging my last good pair of jeans in lake water was perhaps not the greatest idea," Cheshire said, pulling on her shoes which had been left on shore and were now, thankfully, dry.

"All I'm saying is that if I had your power, no one would ever act a way I didn't want them too, now if you excuse me, I have a headache," Jennifer said and without another word, she started to retreat to her room.
"I have them al the time," Chloe whispered, shaking her had sadly, "And as my powers develop, they get worse. People don't understand. I mean the Professors do but people," She faltered a bit as Theo flashed in her mind. The guilt of how she'd treated him was starting to settle as her anger dispensed, "Most people just don't understand. There are just some thing you have to give into, Shiloh because it is a part of you,"
She smiled at him sadly and shrugged, "Just...just start smelling everything, especially when you see something new. Believe me, it will help,"
She then retreated to her trunk, tucking the journal back in and pushing it back into her closet. She wasn't too worried about anyone stealing them, all of her notes were half thoughts scribbled in both French and Amharic. Chloe simply closed the door and then reached for her purse. She fished out her phone and began to quietly check text messages, slightly hoping that maybe Theo had sent her one. It was obvious that their conversation was over, but Chloe added in one last comment.
"Tomorrow I will be up at 5am to climb trees, you are welcome to come,"

Hein listened to Cheshire then reared back and started laughing at being soaked without a way to get dry. It was starting to get cold too, they really would catch a cold. Looking back at her, he shrugged. "What are we going to do about these clothes.." he said as another piece of his suit fell off, his eyes following the piece as it landed on the grass. "..Probably should have put more thought into tearing my clothes that I bought with my last bit of money.."

A shiver danced down Cheshire's spine as she slung her bag of books over her shoulder. Looking to the horizen, she could see that the chilling wind was result of a storm brewing in the distance.
"Damn," she murmured, rubbing her arms, "Do you think they'll even let us inside this wet?"
Digging in her bag, Cheshire found that she had neglected to even bring a sweatshirt. Typical. Whenever she didn't actually need something, of course she had it. But that one time that she did need it, it was nowhere to be found. Why hadn't she checked the weather report?

Robbie continued to look around the Main Building, make sure to stop and catch up with some of the teachers who hadn't seen since his departure (his hand was still recovering from back-to-back welcome-home-handshakes from Samson and Spartan). "Nadya?" He asked as he crossed paths with a dark haired girl in the hallway, he hoped it wasn't someone else... Turning around, Nadya watched Robert call some other girl Nadya. The girl didn't notice him however, and kept walking. Nadya then came from behind Robbie and gave him a big backwards hug. She didn't care that he called some other girl by her name; he was back! "Robert!," she said, hugging him as tight as she could manage. |

Robbie jumped at the unexpected contact but to his relief, he didn't shrink which in most cases would have saved him some embaressment but in this case...
"H-hi Nadya, y-you didn't huh-hear what I said by any chance did you?" He asked, reddening from what could be the humiliating moment of admiting that he had just mistaken someone else for his teammate. Still, the fact that another person had picked him out of a crowd seemed to boost some underlying confidence (the part that wasn't already battered by his mislabling).

"Utkin wanted me to be more leader like." He said, fiddling with his goggles, "So he took me out of school for power training, it was like tutorials I guess." A cherry color attempted to take Robbies face again, but only made it to his cheeks, he felt wierd telling people about his "special treatment".

"Fuck this shit, man," Kobe Reynolds, a long faced, lanky senior commented between sucking his cigarette, "This school is becoming such a drag man, ya kno'?"
He glanced over his puff of smoke at the rest of his crew. It was a running joke that Kobe must have had xray vision because he kept his skull cap pulled down to the bridge of his pasty beak of a nose yet still managed to be one of the most aware students at New Haven Academy, well, when compared to his friends at least.
"Damn, dude, what is wrong with my finger?" His friend Nico pipped up as he held up his hand to reveal that his pinky seemed to be dislodged from its joint. He chuckled at himself and held it closer to his face, extremely entertained by the blue bruise forming around his knuckle.
Kobe rolled his eyes and leaned forward to try and catch her eye. Lucky sat on opposite bench, arms outstretched as she tilted her chin to the sky. Between her plump lips was a long slender cigarette that seem to exude faint pink smoke-or maybe she was just that beautiful to him. Either way, Lucky was too engulfed in her cloud observing to give a damn what anyone else was thinking.
Today had sucked, royally. Everyone was bitching about two students leaving this world. Yeah it was sad and all but she was a firm believer of the circle of life shit. Their souls would be around, whether any of those guys wanted them to be or not. Life was too short to be worrying and crying and shit.
"Naomi!" a voice cut into her thoughts and she had to keep from groaning. She slowly sat up, pulling the cigarette from her mouth as she locked eyes with Kobe. He excitedly returned the grin but realized he had nothing to say. He fumbled over his words through his nervous puffing and caused the group to laugh. Naomi threw her head back and returned to her gazing, wishing that some opportunity would present itself.
"Damn, can they stop all this mourning shit already?"

"Welllllllll," Oto said, stretching, "As fun as this is, I'm out. It's my nature time, y'know Genj?" And so Oto walked away, waving bye to Genj and his new pal DaMarcus, but not before running back over to DaMarcus and giving him another noogie before bolting.
Finally outside and safe, Oto used this time to communicate with the source of his powers, nature. He felt most at home outside, surrounded by plants and whatnot. It made him feel safe.
OOC: Ya, Oto's just wandering around, so be warned, if I see some people aren't doing anything, I'm jumping in for introductions >.>

Shiloh nodded his head furiously, "Thank you Captain Chloe," He smiled a little bit and felt a bit of weight roll of him. It was nice finally having someone to talk to who knew what his powers were like, and maybe they could even help each other out.
"I'll be there, I promise," Shiloh added, "I'll see you then," He departed from her room in higher spirits than when he had entered. This seemed like a good opportunity to control his powers. Maybe, with practice, discipline, and time, he could come to even view them as gifts, if that was ever gonna be possible.
Just then, the exhaustion of his exploits seemed to smack Shiloh right in the face. He yawned and dragged himself back to the guys' dorms, collapsing onto his bed. He sniffed the pillow and the rest of the room, trying to pick up every scent. His clothes and such were filled with his scent, but he noticed a lot of new scents in the room, scents from another person.
"Did I get a roommate?" Shiloh asked, staring around at the bed on the other side of the room that had originally been empty when he moved in. It seemed like an awful idea to give him one now, after he had been responsible for attacking the school. Then again, if the kid was truly a new kid, he may not have known about Shiloh's werewolf attack.
"Maybe we can actually be friends," Shiloh muttered before snuggling back into his own bed. Within moments, he was curled up and out cold.

Elsewhere, Speedy Raines was already outside from after his conversation from Robert. He suddenly got the need to sit down, and, seeing a small spot in between a couple of smoking skater seniors, he squeezed himself in and sat down.

"Oh, well like tactic RZ-09, The Trojan Horse. It's when during a hostage situation in which the innocents are held in an office or business of some sort Angelique takes control of one of the terrorists and I hitch a ride with her. You and Theo will stand just outside the entrance (well if it's a mirrored structure the closest location to it). Angelique uses whatever the terrorist is armed with and takes out who ever is closer to her and during the chaos that ensues leaves her body as I jump off 'her' and, while still shrunk, help free some of the hostages. Meanwhile you and Theo take your entrance to help with crowd control, Theo crippling the group mentally while you play clean-up with those left. If played correctly it should go smoothly but in the event of a hidden Meta we might have to switch tactics..." Robbie explained to Nadya, not stumbling over a single fact as he recited the plan flawlessly, the passion in his eyes that he had while talking had died down as he became more self-aware.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to talk so much." He smiled, rubbing the back of his head.

Razor Leaves suddenly rushed past Raine's head, cutting the cigarettes of the smoking skaters, making them fall to the ground.
"Hey, we don't need you guys pollutin' the air for these here trees. And you," he said, looking at Raine, who he didn't know particularily well, "you don't have one out now, but by god, don't even think about it."
Protecting nature was a true passion of Oto's, people would call him the 'Green Peace Hero', though he didn't mind the mockery. He needed healthy plants for healthy powers.
OOC: I said leave someone alone and I'd pounce >.> You were practically begging.

It took Lucky a minute to figure out what had happened, all of them really. They'd been slightly distracted by some weird kid snuggling his way between Lucky and the others, but at least he was all peace and love. This new pretentious son of a bitch, however, must have been knew.
Lucky spat what was left of her cigarette on the ground and nonchalantly began to light a new one, obviously not too disturbed by Captain Planet's dramatics. Kobe and a few others, however, jumped up from their spot and surrounded the kid like he was fresh prey.
"So what's up, my man?" Kobe asked, playfully pushing him in his shoulder, "Thank you for looking out for the trees and shit but you know, those run like fifty cents a piece or something,"
During that time, Lucky glanced over at Roger and nonchalantly threw up the surfer sign, she had no problem with him. He was just enjoying life...like butterflies.

Raines saw Lucky give him the surfer sign and returned it, leaning back in the park bench. He, however, was unaware of the fact that he gave her the middle finger, instead of the nonchalant surfer sign.
Nadya blinked a couple of times, looking at him blindly. She didn't understand a word he just said, but it sounded amazing.
"We should get something to eat, Robbie." She suggested, still kind of surprised.

Now being surrounded, Oto's knees started to shake, but he didn't want them to know.
"M-My powers come from nature.........s-so by hurting nature..... you're........" Oto's voice trailed off, and started looking at his feet.

Jin was wakened from his nap by the squabbling of a group of nearby students. “CAN’T A BROKEN MAN GET SOME REST” Jin shouted at Oto and the others. Jin slowly began to stand up as he noticed one of the girls was Chloe’s friends.
BTW: a friend of mine made me a better pic for Jin. Moon just posted it for me in the year book.

Robbie freaked out, she was only asking him to go eat, but what did that mean? He read all about this kind of hidden message stuff in some 'women magazines' Kanti had lying around her apartment, did she mean "You and me are good friends, let's go hang out" or was it "I think you're pretty swell, let's go out" or maybe it was just "I'm hungry, and you're here, so come with me to eat." Why was this so confusing!? She had just put a string of seven words together! He had to say something at the very least, anything!
"S-sure, I'd like to go eat with you, I love to eat, in fact If I could I would all the time non-stop."... That was stupid, even Robbie realized it. Stupid magazines...
