As Raines and Robbie chatted, Avery observed afar while reading the new issue of Master Blaster versus Sir Leviathan. A part of her saw that this new group of peers could be a bunch that she would not have to fear accidentally infecting or whatnot.

"Yea I control ice." He responded, waving his hand as ice shot all down the aisle way of where people walked.
His attention quickly turned to the two girls fighting, a smile cracking his lips.
"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" He chanted happily. "You know," He started, turning to the new kid. "It's cool enough when there is a fight, but it just can't get any cooler than when it's a chick fight."

Yun sighed and pulled out her MP3 player, plugging in her earphones and adjusting the volume. That drowned out the sound somewhat. Despite her demure exterior, the song she was listening to was "Sacrifice", a mix by T.A.T.U and Rammstein. She enjoyed foreign music the most, and the blend of Russian, German, and English was especially pleasing to her ears. Lyrics did not much matter to her as long as she liked the beat, and she enjoyed the energetic beats of rock, balanced with the all-encompassing of orchestra.
From listening to the song several times, she managed to mimic the German lyrics without even understanding them. Her foot tapped on the floor as she sang normally, though because her voice was naturally quiet, it amounted to nothing more than a murmur.

"I'm Calvin," Calvin said as he shook Theo's hand. "And I really don't know too much, it's all guesswork really. I just kind of realized it when I could do things other people could do." At that moment he noticed one of the older kids shoot ice all the way down the bus aisle. "Example:" Calvin said, taking the opportunity to shoot his own bit of ice along the side of the other guy's bus seat, coating it in ice. It was less refined then his, of course, but Calvin was still fairly impressed with his work.
The cat fight in the background was beginning to get on Calvin's nerves a bit, but once some clothes started ripping off, he'd start to pay a bit more attention.

In response, Nadya dropped her phone, and it hit her seat with a clunk. Raines looked at her and could tell this would get ugly. "You... your... you... you... Kunda[/b]!"[/color] She screamed at the top of her lungs, standing up. "How dare you call me a freshie! A hyena! You look like a pig, you little bitch!" Nadya had made her way all the two row walk and stood in front of the two pairs of girls, arms to her sides. "I just... I...!!!"[/quote] Despite Nadya’s animated display of…idiocy, Jennifer barely reacted. In fact, there was more reaction towards the psycho kid who had randomly jumped up and yelled at no one in particular than Nadya. A few paper balls went streamlining in his direction, popping off his head and shoulders followed by some taunting and laughing. Chloe slightly leaned up to get a better view of the guy but all she could see was his raven hair leaning over, obviously whispering to whoever sat by his side. Jennifer blinked a few times at Nadya and she seemed to grow in front of their eyes. Chloe glanced down and noticed that Jen’s feet were slightly hovering above the bus floor. In mid air, Jennifer hiked her knees up to her chest before finally resting back in her seat. She merely crocked her index finger at Nadya before pointing it down at the ground. She twirled it around a few times before whipping it back at Nadya’s empty seat. Not wanting to waste anymore time, the fiery redhead turned away from Nadya and back to Jai. She pumped the volume on his speakers and began to dance in her seat to the song blasting from the radio. Chloe hadn’t even moved from her comfy position, her slender back pressed against the window bus with one leg leaning against the backrest. Without even hesitating, Chloe kicked her other leg up and draped them behind Jennifer’s back, and coolly looked over her sunglasses at Nadya. “Some people are trying to rest and you are very loud, dakour?” Chloe sternly called over Jennifer’s gyrating back, though her throaty voice could barely be heard over the noise. She then flickered her fingers at Nadya, “That is all, merci,” Without waiting for a response, Chloe tilted her head back up and closed her eyes, assuming that the conversation was over. |

The boy asked his question while running his finger along the birth-mark like line under his right eye. He did the from time to time.

Nadya, ablaze with fury, closed her eyes and made a fist. Dammit, she thought as she went back to her seat. She immediately called her friend and started up yet again, complaining to her about mean girls and how bitchy they were when they were PMSing.

"That's pretty sweet man! You pretty much have every power on the bus!" he exclaimed. This life seemed so exciting, with all of these characters, "I can just make people sad or happy and stuff. So boring compared to you or the ice guy!"
The bus rolled up the campus, and anyone who hadn't been before couldn't help but be impressed. The grounds were large and spacious, with green grass everywhere, trees dotting the landscape. It was a sizeable distance from the front gate to the actual buildings, of which there were a number. A pair of dormitories, a main building, and a gymnasium/cafeteria were the largest and most obvious structures. Atop the main building was a belltower, though it didn't actually get used anymore. The bus pulled up in the circle out front and stopped.
"Alright you all! We are here at NHA. Please step off in an ORDERLY FASHION or so help me, I will be giving a very bad word to your professors and you don't want to start off like that, do you? Your luggage should be underneath, so if the first big strong gentlemen off want to start unloading it, it would be appreciated!"
People filed off the bus, and while it wasn't quite as orderly as the bus driver had commanded, it was good enough, without incident. The bus driver escorted them to a courtyard that had been converted into a stage with rows of chairs. The stage was a pristine white and adorned only with a podium and a few chairs flanking either side. The podium had a simple microphone.
"Put your stuff down in the back here, and then everyone take a seat. Things'll get going shortly!" the bus driver ordered, pointing to a spot behind the seats where their luggage could be left comfortably and out of the way.

OOC: Once everyone settles in (or I get a big chunk of time), I'll move us forward with another big post. Then we'll start getting into the good stuff!

Raines laid his book bag down in the back and took a seat somewhere near the middle. The middle was often the least checked area, eager people sit in the front, lacklusters sit in the back and normals sit in the middle. Raines wanted to get a good look at the eager; chances are they would be better and more dependent in a real life situation. Thinking like this, it made him chuckle. He scratched his head, smiling to himself. Nadya on the other hand sat in the WAY back, she had already heard all of this and seen all of it before so she had no use paying attention. She began txtin' her friends, unaware of anybody or anything around her. ooc: It's just that i find it weird for the word "iPod" to be repeated twenty times, delly baby  |

Moving along with the group, Avery could not help but feel a bit squished as she ended up being rushed along with everybody else...
"<HACK!> Um... Hey, cut it out, please. Oh god, oh god please don't get sick... Oof <Wheeze!>, I'm getting a bad feeling, and it's got nothing to do with throwing up..."
Seeing the campus grounds, Avery adjusted her shades so that the sun won't get in the way. Listening to the bus driver's instructions, she put her suitcase and backpack with the others and tried to find a seat. Seeing an empty seat by Nadya, she clears her throat and asks quietly...
"<Ahem> Um... Excuse me? <Cough> Could I... Sit there?"

Nadya, not really paying attention, didn't hear Avery. Instead, she let out a loud "OMG!" when she read her newest text. She kept doing what she was doing, not really caring what was going on. Not to say she didn't want Avery to sit next to her, she didn't mind, but... Tod got back together with Jenny! Even though he fucked her sister!

Avery felt somebody press their body weight on her chair. The person, whoever it was, was loaming over her, as if reading her comic along with her.
"So, your into comics? Haha, that's pretty ironic!" He said, laughing before standing back, taking off his body weight. "You're one of the new admissions, right? I'll be one of your professors. Name's Toby Ricardo, but a lot of people call me The Giver." When Avery turned around to see him, she saw a young man in about his 30s with shiny glasses and messy brown hair. He carried a book in his left arm and gave out his right hand to shake.

Smiling beneath her mask, she responded with a rather quiet "Hi" and a cough before saying...
"I got into these because of the whole mutant thing. Thought I could learn some more about us. I... I <Cough> want to control my powers better so that I'm not <T'choo!> Excuse me... So that I'm not sick all the time and don't end up being like human Ebola or something."

Putting his hand on her head, he gave her a small pat before telling her that was the professor's job at this Academy. He smiled, waved, and walked away, passing by Ace. He decided to introduce himself again; his friendliness would be the death of him one day.
"So, your a new admission, kid? My name's Toby "The Giver" Ricardo, I'm one of your professors. You should put your stuff down before this thing starts, or else you might get in trouble, right?" He said, smiling. He acted as if he knew Ace was about to cut, but he frankly didn't at all.

Fixing his glasses, The Giver looked at the ground, his eyes boiling with rage. "YOU ARE A NEW ADMISSION TO ME!!" He yelled, his fist pointed at the boy with maximum killing intent. "NOW SIT DOWN AND STOP ASKING THE OTHER STUDENTS TO CUT WITH YOU BEFORE I CUT YOU" Immediately as he recognized Ace's face, he knew why the kid hadn't put his shit down yet.
"I swear!"

"Chill bra, I didn't know it was the time of the month for you..."He responded holding his hands up with a surprised look and nervous smile. "You should just chill bra." Waving his hand slowly before him, ice appearing below them.
Smirking he gave a piece sign, picking up his board and walking over to throw his stuff on top of the pile. Walking down the rows he went in the second row and sat right in front of Raines, placing his feet up on top of the empty chair in front of him and leaned back with his arms relaxing on the chair, the chair tilting a bit back.
"I didn't plan on freezing his library again but the douche has it coming to him."

Ricardo continued to shake his fist, stuck in the ground yet again by Ace's powers. In combat, his powers were useless, so he couldn't do much in response. He simply sighed, waiting for a fire user to come and melt him out of his icy shackles.
Meanwhile, Raines quietly moved his seat one to the left, trying to get the best position to approach this "Ace" character. He was doing reconnaissance, after all. "Yo, pal. I saw you freeze up that librarian. Nice one, man. Name's Raines. Nice to meet you." He said, leaning over the chair in front of him.
"You use ice eh?"

Calvin watched the exchange between Ace and the librarian with a slight smirk on his face. On the one hand, the librarian did seem like a bit of a douche, and probably deserved to be frozen to the floor for a while. On the other hand, Ace seemed have quite an ego.
"You know him?" He asked Theo, guessing they were friends or something from the way Ace had blatantly asked Theo if he wanted to skip with him.

"I do what I can to find out what I can and then it usually ends there." Raines said, his face unchanging. "Usually, I am not a friend somebody keeps. So, I guess you are quite right. I'm not that sociable, am I? To be honest, I'm not an introvert. I like people, but I prefer to watch then to play, if you catch my drift. I just want to find out your limitations... Ace, was it?" Normally, somebody would smile out of mockery at this point, but Raines did not. He wasn't the person who would say something like that out of hate or malice, he was simply stating that he wanted to know how far Ace could go before he'd have to quit, and how far his determination would take him.
