Raines smiled, patting the boy on the shoulder as he scurried over to get his book bag. The two of them walked to their room, in comfortable silence; at least on Raines' part. When they got there, Raines began to start a conversation. "Where were youborn, Robbie?" He asked, as if he had told the boy already. OOC: This is afternoon time right now, like 1 or 2 (Del?) "In Kansas City. I thought it was a pretty big place but whenever I bring it up people always say that it's in the middle of no where." He said as he placed his backpack next to his bed and plopped down for a seat, taking the time to clean his goggles with a dark cleaning cloth. |

Theo chatted with his roommate briefly and said goodbye to Calvin, and grabbed his stuff from the pile. He threw a few glances at the right girls, and headed up to the dorms. All the students were in one dorm, while the staff and professors had their own quarters, presumably larger. He wanted to hurry and be back with everybody, to meet more people and make more friends, but he couldn't help but be in awe of the place.
The hallways were so classy, adorned with paintings and nice carpeting, dark oak stained walls. It seemed like the kind of place teens would never be allowed to roam free in. He ran his fingers along the walls. It was pretty incredible. All so recently cleaned, soon much of it would be stained or broken or burned or whatever else a bunch of mutant teenagers would do. He found a room with a sign that said "Open to Students" and staked his claim, throwing his bags down. He removed the sign, and wrote on the back "Ace and Theo's Crib". He looked at it with a satisfied sigh. It wasn't HUGE, but two comfortable twin beds, two night stands, two desks, and two closets was more than enough. There was some open space too, perhaps for a chair or for them to just move around in. Each had their own dresser, and the room even had its own cramped bathroom, which he was very thankful for. All in all, it was pretty sweet. There was also some central unit with closed doors, and opening them, he found a stereo system and a TV. This blew his mind.
After getting over it and unpacking a few of his clothes and items in a hurry, he quickly went back to meet in the cafeteria as they were instructed to.

"You have a sister named Dorthy?" He said, chuckling to himself. Markus had only brought a couple of shirts and two pairs of socks. With him, came one picture. He placed it next to his bed; it obviously showed his family. A young boy who resembled Raines, probably 5-6 years old. He also had a older girl with her arms wrapped around him, leaning over his shoulders, her head against his. Behind them, were Raines' mother and father.
Something was interesting about the picture, through: Roger and his sister had the same eyes. He smiled at it, clutching his heart before he took a seat next to Robbie, on his bed.
"You never showed me your power, friend. Are you embarrassed about it or is it involuntary?" He asked, turning his head to look his friend in the eyes.

Ace had made it to the dorm after Theo, being caught up hitting on some chicks. He got both of the blond's numbers, not that he intended to pursue it if they weren't willing to put out. He was a one mind set kid when it came to girls. They either wanted it or didn't; and if they didn't want it then he moved on. The eighteen year old one looked to be down with it, the sixteen year old not so much.
"I know which one I am not going to keep in touch with." He smiled making his way up to his dorm. He was taken back by Theo's antic of renaming the room, but didn't mind it.
In fact he liked it. He threw his bag down on the bed, jumping on his skateboard and skating down to the cafeteria to get some food.

"Body and mind manipulation via shadows." he said smiling. "It seems they put us together for a reason judging by our powers." he then remembered he had to find Fayth. "So I'll catch you in the room, I have to go find my sister. Later." he said waving and running off.

Mark nodded and headed off to his room. So far the roommate didn't seem so bad, and there was the off chance his sister was hot or would preoccupy most of Derek's time at least. He wandered back to his dorm and kicked out a pair of freshmen who had tried to claim it in his absence. He stared around at the blank walls and the empty mini-fridge, "Shadow guy better be rich, or a good scammer at least," He sighed.

Robbie admitted his feet kicking back and forth on the side of the bed "Not like super-skin or ice powers at least." He took a look at his clothes, the bright orange costume was something usual to a fifteen year olds wardrobe. This may have been very well due to the fact that it wasn't sold anywhere else at all, it had been delivered to him along with his invitation to New Haven along with instructions to wear it on the day of introduction. For the better however, it would at least save him from mind blowing embarrassment later on. |

Drake walked through the crowd. "Fayth!?" he shouted. He couldn't find her anywhere in this mess. He then started to walk a little faster when he bumped into someone, knocking him down. It was that girl that was sitting with the annoying yelling one on the bus, Chloe is what she was calling her. "Sorry.." he said in an embarrassed tone.

On his way to the cafeteria Ace had skated by the library at first going by it. But skidding to a halt he turned around, picked up his board and walked into the empty room. With a mischievous smirk he waved his hand ice freezing over the books, computers, seats, everything. With a look of delight he left seeing that no one had seen him he skated off and made it to the cafeteria and upon seeing Theo he took a seat beside him putting his skateboard under the table and keeping his feet on it.
"See that chick?" He asked, pointing to a cute brunette walking by. "She's very religious you won't get any from her, trust me. That chick however," He started, smirking at a smoking hot red head walking by, her smiling back and waving. "Puts out like you can't believe. Oh and before you ask, yes the carpet matches the blinds,"

Zek sat alone on his bench watching the last of the kids get off the bus. To his eyes they seemed very childish and kid-like, and he really wanted nothing to do with most fo them. The looked annoying, some looked preppy, and most of all they were something that Zek wanted to stay away from. "I shoulda stayed in isolation, these kids are gonna make me go insane." He said outloud hoping no one was listening.

Theo was holding a tray of food, but not even sitting or eating yet. He was too busy wandering around the cafeteria, talking to people. Some nervously or awkwardly shook him off, and some others engaged him, not really knowing what else to do. He made fun of the other tables often, sometimes mocking a table with one group and then walking to said table and cracking on the group he just left. Some people thought he was offensive, others funny.
He just hoped someone interesting would come along.

When he bumped into her, Chloe had been prepared for something a lot more...psycho. His rather dopey reaction drew an eyebrow raise from her cool exterior. Chloe pushed her sunglasses off her face so that they sat on her hair like a head band and studied him as if she were contemplating just how exactly to react at him. She finally shrugged and softly replied "It's no problem,"
"Chloe! I'm soooooooooo hungry!" Jennifer drawled, wrapping her hands around Chloe's arm and started to pull her away as if she hadn't been talking to anybody "FOOD! Cafeteria! NOW!"

Raines stood up, walking over to his bed. He really, really, didn't want to do this. It wasn't his style, but he needed to know what the kid's power was, before anything else. Going back over to Robbie's side of the room, he tackled the boy onto the bed, pinning him down by his wrists.
"I'm sorry, Robbie." He said, before quickly releasing the boy and picking up a pillow. In a swift motion, he covered the boy's head with it and began suffocating him.

"Wow that girl is really annoying..." he said to himself. He shrugged, dusted himself off and went to his new room with his things. He waved to Mark as he walked through the door. "I couldn't find her, but I ran into that girl and her annoying friend that was shouting on the bus." he looked around the room. "Eh, not bad, we can spruce it up pretty good..." he said smirking.

Yun sat alone at a table, absentmindedly poking her food with a fork. The orientation was a lot to take in, and she wasn't sure she'd be able to remember all that was said. She still had to find a roommate, but she wasn't the most proactive person in the world; she would feel awkward if she had to walk up to someone and request their presence as a roommate. That'd almost be like asking to be somebody's friend back in first grade.
She popped a grape in her mouth and chewed slowly, mind trailing back to the teachers. Some of them seemed friendly enough, but she was sure one of them would crack her under pressure. She didn't have the sturdiest spine. And yet, one of those appeared to be the really handsome, Russian teacher. What was his name? Utkin? That sounded right.
"He's gorgeous..." she sighed.

"I hope that means you're a trust fund mutant," Mark quickly hoped. Trust fund mutants were usually the progressive and insanely rich parents who accepted their children and sent them to New Haven to make sure they had the best education possible, "Even if you're not, with you around, I might be able to make some money twice as fast," He held up loaded dice, two-side coins, and a deck of playing cards.

Robbies eyes widened as he felt the soft cloth of the pillow cover cling to his mouth and nostril, he kicked with his legs as he began to sweat the air he had taken for granted was now his top priority. He'd do anything to breath, anything.... From Raines' perspective it appeared as if Robbie had vanished, no sign of his clothes or of himself and he soon lossened his grip on the pillow. It looked as if he was down one roommate. |

When they walked into the cafeteria, the madness of screeching ensued as Jennifer and Chloe were greeted by the other half of their entourage. Vera, a japanese girl with an electric blue bob and of course, Nik, who gained notoriety for starting a business which completely entailed of throwing parties on Campus.
Chloe politely greeted them, but skipped on all the jumping and banshee screeching. She instead made her way up to the cafeteria line and cleared her throat. The students obedient got out her way so she could to the front with a small salad, yogurt, water and a croissant. She then sauntered over to her usual table to enjoy what peace and quiet she would have till her friends got there.
Despite her cold exterior, without her entourage, Chloe looked almost approachable. She let out a deep sigh, sinking in her chair and stretching her legs under the table, she'd never admit it, but it felt great to be back.

"Shit, teleporter? If he teleported to the dean or a teacher... shit... shit..." Raines threw the pillow away, hoping he just went invisible or- wait a second.
"Robbie? You can... shrink?" He said, seeing a miniature Robbie laid down on the bed under him. "I'm sorry about that." He said, scratching his head.

Robbie sat up, his face visibly red from the lack of air, the struggle and the fact that he'd actually been seen in his small form. Still tiny, only about a couple of inches in height he did an about face while sitting down, his arms crossed as he sat down with his legs out in front of him, a small sniffle coming from his small form.

Two seconds later he walked back in, picked up Robbie, put him on his shoulder and then again wordlessly walked out.

Calvin walked awkwardly around the cafeteria. With Theo gone, and rooming with the ice man from earlier, he wasn't sure what to do. Hopefully he'd end up meeting someone cool to room with, or maybe if he was really lucky and by some twist of fate, the number of males and females would be uneven and he'd get to room with a girl. That was unlikely, and they'd probably give him his own room before that happened, but it doesn't hurt to be optimistic every now and then.
On the other hand, the school itself seemed like it wouldn't be so bad. Aside from the fact that he'd probably end up addicted to Aspirin before the year was over, it probably wouldn't be too bad. Speaking of which, he realized his headache was slowly crawling his way back into his head. He fingered the bottle of Aspirin in his pocket as he suddenly saw the girl that had sat with him and Theo during the assembly. "Hey." He said, unsure if he even remembered her, their previous meeting had been nothing more then an exchange of hellos before the assembly actually started.

Robbie, now about three inches in height, could only sit in a position not facing Roger his face still in a pout. Now he'd have to deal with the whole school knowing his power, despite the truth, one he always liked to put away, that he'd have to show his shrinking ability at one point.
He tried the best he could to make himself unnoticeable as Raines entered the cafeteria, the lunchroom packed to the brim with the new students.

Looking around, he spied a guy and a girl talking to each other casually. Well, the guy just said hi but it seemed pretty casual. He walked up to the two of them and immediately introduced himself.
"Hi. My name is Raines. This is my fairy, Robert. Nice to meet you." If Raines knew what cockblocking was, this would have been it.

"Hey man, I'll catch you later, I'm going to go see if I can find my sister in the cafeteria. He walked down to the cafeteria and walked in seeing that Chloe girl and he entourage of annoying girls. He smirked and waved at Chloe as he walked by. He put his hands in his pockets and spotted the guy that went through pain when he got on the bus. He walked over to him, "Hey buddy, how ya feeling?" he said.
