OOC: Aww, Mark is being so adorable
DaMarcus didn't seem entirely phased by Avery's story, although his face did show some signs of empathy. Most people would never consider him to show that he understood other people's problems, and actually had some sort of connection, but alas, it was true.
"Damn, shorty, that's rough," he stated quietly, thinking about it briefly, "Yo, a lot of a kids have stories like that here?"
Jin's elbow collided with Theo's left shoulder, leaving a nice bruise as he felt backwards onto his butt. The blow had even more force coming from Jin's metallic limb.
Silence was Theo's reply to Calvin, if only for a moment. He got up, brushing himself off and looking indignant.
"Whatever, screw this," he grumbled, turning to walk away before the Professors got there. Like that would help.

That’s what I get for not reading Sonic’s post, lol ____________________________________________________
“Running away again” Jin stated as he turned his back to Theo. “Fine suit yourself” Jin said somewhat irritated. He would never forgive Theo for his comment and his reaction only proved Jin right as far as he was concerned.

Diana smiled up at Yami and said something in low German before giggling a little. She noticed Mark starting to panic but only grinned and stood up. She was nice enough to pretend she didn't see him fall and even if she had read his mind, she certainly was too professional to admit it. "Money? Food?" She laughed, "Of course not, you will dine with us at the teacher's dining room. I will cook all of Kali's favorite things," Diana kissed Kalina on the forehead who just grimaced and looked away. Diana pretended not to notice Kalina's attitude and went to get luggage.

Yami nodded and spoke a small order to Bingo in German. The lazy beast rose from its position and followed after Diana, "I don't like that boy," Yami whispered to Diana once they were a bit far off, "He seems...shady. What are his abilities? Weaknesses?" He wasn't going to be caught off guard by anyone here.
Mark sighed and rested against the rented car, "They seem...wholesome," He gulped at the idea of sharing a meal with Deathshadow. He'd have a knife with him! Hell, even a plastic spoon was enough to do him in. He was freakin' Deathshadow! "He's a little intimidating," He wiped some hair out of his eyes and tried to regain his stoic composure.

"Well, as mutants, at least half of us have some sort of sob story to tell. Some of us deal with it better than others. It's just like in the comics, where someone either faces prejudice, loses an important person or has a crappy condition slash curse involved."

"Who Yami?" Kalina squeaked as she and Mark walked in the opposite direction, "No! He's kind and brave and handsome..." She sighed and went all Yun like at the thought of Deathshadow.
Diana shook her head, "He's a fan of yours, Yami. Be nice. Not too mention he is only 15!"

"And he wants to kill me. He looked ready to kill me right there, and why is he blindfolded? I thought it was like a mask for crimefighting," Mark responded, looking behind his shoulder at the end of every sentence. He almost expected Yami to swoop out of nowhere and kill him. Even worse, Kalina would find it smexy.
Yami shook his head, "I'm not a carnival act. I do what I do to help Europe, not to please some American boy," He responded as they reached their small room in the teachers dormitories where they would be staying.

The large boy stared off, not making much eye contact during their conversation at all,but his gaze becoming particularly distant.
"Yeah, e'rebody is like that where I'm from," he explained, trying hard not to draw connections between this school and his other life. He didn't want to think about it.

A mist crept up on both Theo and Jin, at first hardly noticeable until they'd walked a decent distance from each other, then like a flurry, the mist rose up and engulfed them both in a fog, impairing their vision as well as their sense of direction. Then there was the sound of cranking metal, followed by the roar of something rushing down, reminescent to a renegade drawbrige. With a clang, a colossal black iron gate smashed in front of each the boys, prohibiting either from taking a step further. It stretched on into the mist, seemingly forever, and the more the gate settled, the more it developed, its bars, slithering like snakes, curled around each other in intricate detail-as if it belonged in front of a Gothic Cathedral.
Then she appeared on the other side of the gate to each boy, a hazy outline of an apparition within the fog, standing tall, stern with her arms crossed and her head held high. Whether or not they could make out the stern figure to be Professor Snow was the least of her priorities. At the moment, all she could do was boil with anger, only grated further when they all heard Angelique's childish voice call from somewhere within the smokey haze,
"OoOOOoOh! You guys are in trouble now!!"

"He wears a blindfold because of his power," Kalina said, "I've never seen his real eyes and Diana won't tell me, she can be so selfish some times!" She hmphed again, "I wish she didn't come, why couldn't Yami have come alone? Oh god, I hope she isn't going to teach!" Kalina's eyes widened, if she was going to teach, that meant that people would see perfect Diana and any chance of Kalina being her own person.
"Yami!" Diana laughed as she began to unpack for them all, "Being nice to someone should be natural, not a carnival act. Now Kalina never writes to me, you know that, and the one or two times I got her to talk, she went on about how she had a great friend. Now if I'm ever going to get on my sister's good side I need you to be nice," Diana sighed and stood up, "Please? For me," She smiled at him sweetly.

"Why don't you want your sister to teach? She seems really nice, a lot nicer than Mr. Yami," Mark responded, crossing his arms and thinking about the menacing man. He himself had never been much of a fighter, choosing to make cold calculations instead. But Yami could do both, and he did them well. It was easy to see why he was so powerful, and how he was able to strike so much fear into those around him. It still didn't make Mark any less afraid, though.
Yami sighed and sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing Bingo's large body, "Okay...but why does your sister dislike you so much anyway? I thought your powers were very similar to each other's. I would kill to have anyone who had similar abilities to my own," He responded.

Having been around enough to know that expression, Avery backs off a bit from the questions and tells him... "Look... I don't need you to tell my anything if you don't want to. I will have to say this. You need any help... We're here, how's about that?"

Diana sighed and smiled sadly, "Is it really that obvious?" She then decided she didn't want to hear an answer, "Well, I'm going to go down to the kitchen and see what I can manage to cook," She stopped for a moment to wrestle one of her shoes out of Bingo's mouth. He groaned and lazily got up to follow her downstairs. She'd have to take off her shoes sometimes.
"Because she's obnoxious!" Kalina snapped at Mark, "Everything she does is so flirty and-and obnoxious!" Kalina, who usually was very mellow was now practically growling at Mark like a wild animal.

"If cooking is what you want," Yami responded, crossing his arms and heading down the steps after her. As great of a cook as Diana was, he knew her well enough to know that when stressed, she cooked and cleaned to forget her problems. They made it down to the small kitchen.
Yami immediately stared around and grabbed a bottled water from the fridge. The last thing he wanted to do was deal with the other Professors, even if they did let he and Diana stay here.
"Woah, she has a boyfriend, and she was traveling by car. That's pretty modest, given your family's wealth," Mark replied, confused by her anger. He thought she would be happy to have her sister around.

"Taking her side!!" Kalina squeaked, "Like everyone always does!!! You're suppose to be my friend!!" Kalina turned on him angrily.
"Well, maybe you should stroll the grounds or something, I heard there was a memorial today, for two students," Diana sighed as she pulled out veggies and began cutting them, "Such a shame,"

"The school made a mistake in allowing so many students here. All of these kids have problems that take more than 5 or 7 adults to handle," Yami sighed and leaned against the counter. He watched his girlfriend continue to cut up the vegetables, "You know I want to do more, Deeanna. I just don't think I can help these students. I'm not a babysitter,"
Yami sighed and paced the room. He had been offered a teaching job at the time of his graduation. At first, it worked out well with him looking to help the Core. His more aggressive nature and take no prisoners attitude was consistently at odds with Walt and other alumni until he stopped teaching a few months after joining the Core. By the time Diana finished University in America, he left the Core to help other areas, his home country of Germany amongst them.
If there was one thing Yami wasn't, it was a mentor to a bunch of troubled teens, even if he used to be one not too long ago.
Mark was taken aback by Kalina's heated response, "I am your friend! I am on your side! Maybe you should give Diana a second chance, that's all I'm saying," He had never seen her so angry, and he was unsure as to why Kalina held such animosity for her sister. Maybe Diana and her were having some psychic argument without him knowing, or something.

Hein finished his long hot relaxing shower within his lone room and promptly got dressed in another new set of clothes he had purchased the other day. Black pants, white shirt and a blue jacket. "These will do fine.." he said calmly brushing back his hair with his fingertips, he cleaned up his room a bit for only to keep busy.
He felt refreshed, though not without after thoughts, but he had to move on from his feelings. Was his feelings of love even real to begin with, he had never known love from anyone. Maybe just a movie definition of love, or even a books. Oh, well! Even if the day wasn't already over, Yun probably wouldn't want him to sulk all the time about her death.
"I should have a rest.." he said, finishing the last bit of his room.
Quickly he dragged himself on top of the covers of his bed and fell asleep..

Kalina eyed Mark suspiciously and then said, "Well I'm going by the student store to find something to bring! I'm not going to have Diana go, 'OH I just slaved away over the kitchen for you!' No! I'm going to get something to bring that Yami...I mean you guys will appreciate!" She marched toward the student store. While there, all she found were pastries so she stocked up on those.
Diana laughed at Yami and put on a pot of boiling water, "With your optimism, they should have made you a guidance counselor! Really, those two kids needed love and care! Just like you did, if you hadn't come here only god knows what would have happened to you, you've admitted that," She put the veggies in the water and then felt something slobbery. She looked down to see Bingo licking, sniffing and nibbling her foot, as always. "Bingo stop!" Diana said gently but when she pulled her foot away Bing grabbed the shoe right off her foot and trotted away. Diana smacked her forehead and gave up, kicking off the other shoe.

Mark sighed and though about chasing after Kalina, but what use would it be? He had no idea what was going through her mind right now and he doubted that he could say anything to soothe her without knowing more, 'I'll see you at the teacher's lounge, He thought over and over again with hopes that she'd hear.
"It wasn't the professors who helped me, it was you. Perhaps you should be a counselor of some sort while we're here, for the students. They're supposed to see some sort of counselor at the end of each semester, and they are coping with missions and deaths of their comrades," Yami suggested.
Yami smiled a little bit as he watched Bingo eat away at Diana's shoes, "I think you should ask to do something like that, Deeanna,"

As Theo angrily began to retreat, he was interrupted by another attack from Jin. That arrogant jerk, attacking him from behind! But what was he doing? He could make a mist?
The boy waved his hands in front of his face, worried it might be poisonous, and trying to clear it away, but it merely flooded around him, and he realized it wasn't Jin. Calvin? No...just weather? Theo couldn't tell, but it soon he completely turned him around, giving him a sightline of a few inches in front of his nose.
Just to top it off, there was a huge gate which slammed down in front of him. Like a dream, what wouldn't normally make sense seemed to just fit in his mind, as if "Oh, of course a gate just blocks my path in the stifling mist" was the right way to think. And so stuck in Snow's illusion, he couldn't fight back.
Her figure nearly didn't exist against the mist, her pale skin and hair blending in with the white clouds that had taken over Theo's senses. But he had finally put two and two together and knew he was in big big big trouble.
Um..." he stuttered, unsure of what to say.
DaMarcus's dark colored irises turned to Avery, his face looking at her with surprise. To him, the idea that she could help him was silly. That anyone could, more or less. He didn't need help. He was fine. Absolutely fine.
"Whatever," he mumbled, not really certain of how to say it, and not wanting to. But he also didn't want to be a jerk to Avery - she had actually turned out alright.

Jin was quite angry at Theo’s retreat. A real man always finished what he began; at least that’s what Jin believed. He slowly began to storm off in the opposite direction when a large white mist began to engulf him. “Another one of Theo’s tricks” Jin thought as he turned around, just then realizing that Theo wasn’t capable of creating mist. That’s when noticed professor Snow’s pale blue body appearing from the mist. Like Theo Jin was now trapped in her illusion

Jin had enough sense to remain quiet, so his vision of Snow remained blended in the mist, calmly watching him watch her. However, as soon as Theo opened his mouth, the vision of Snow popped out of the mist and leaned against the iron fence. Resting her forehead against her left forearm, Snow sharply eyed Theo up and down, her lips scrunched together in so much anger that they practically turned inward.
"Today," Snow began, her voice so contrite that it was hardly above a murmur, "We all came together as a family to say goodbye to two students-two who were particularly close to you, Mr. Tagger. You in return metaphorically defaecate on their grave and all you have to say is..." Snow's orbs became doe-eyed wide, her mouth dropped open, large enough for a fly to zip into. She then mocked Theo's drawl, "Uuum....?"
After her rather cruel imitation of Theo, Professor Snow rolled her eyes and took a step back into the fog. As if on cue, it grew so thick that both boys were completely blinded. Together, the boys felt a hand grasp at one of their arms and jerk them to the ground, snapping them both out of the illusion.
Theo and Jin laid on their backs, their crowns touching as the real Professor Snow stood over them with with a scowl on her face and her arms crossed. Calvin and Angelique stood a few feet back, and the pixie blonde was very forthcoming in her excitement to see both boys taken down so easily. From her point of view, it appeared that Snow had simply walked between them without a word and both boys froze, stumbled backwards and tumbled onto their backs right by her feet on their own accord. It had surely been one of the coolest things she'd ever seen since she'd gotten here!
A fiendish giggle escaped Angie's mouth but Professor Snow ignored her, too enthralled in her anger at the two adolescent boys that laid at her feet.
"You want to fight?!" Professor Snow finally asked, though it was more of a statement than a question, "Alright then, get up, both of you, now," Before either of them had time to react, Professor Snow snapped, "Get up!"
She took a step back but her right toe dragged against the dirt as if she contemplated kicking both boys in the head.
Chloe had been waiting by Theo's door for what seemed to her as hours but he didn't show. She leaned against his door with a small impatient sigh, growing more irritable with each moment to pass. Chloe wasn't use to being on this side of a fight and whether she admitted it or not, a part of her believed that Theo would have (or should have) followed her after her outburst.
Tilting her head back slightly, Chloe sniffed three times and caught Theo's scent a few meters from Jennifer's dorm. Weird, had he been there the whole time? Chloe frowned a little before pushing off the wall and making her way out the dorm. Nothing was going right today.

Jin was shocked by how easily both he and Theo were taken down. Just how powerful was this strange lady and what kind of power did she have anyway. What interested Jin the most though was her comment on fighting. “So long as I get to take down emotions boy over here you’ll get no complaints from me” Jin stated as he got off the ground and followed professor snow.
